Richard and Wende's House Pix

[ More Pix ]
We moved from a studio apartment in San Francisco into our 4-bedroom "beach house" in May 1998. It's located on the heavily-forested western shore of Puget Sound, adjacent to Bainbridge Island, on a scenic tidal channel named Agate Passage. The closest town (10 miles away) is Poulsbo, quaint, historic, and famous for its bread. The local area of Suquamish ("place of clear salt water") is a Native American reservation, birthplace of Chief Seattle (1786-1866), after whom the nearby "Emerald City" of Seattle was named. Fresh clams, oysters and crabs can be collected here at low tide, and salmon and other fish are plentiful in season. [ Suquamish deck and garden ]
